Jib was born and raised in Northern Ontario, on beautiful Manitoulin Island, and is a successful entrepreneur who embodies Canadian values of service, community and family. Jib is the President of Turners of Little Current Ltd., a family owned department store in Little Current, that spans five generations and 135 years.
Passionate about promoting small business and supporting entrepreneurs in the North, Jib is committed to controlling taxes and energy rates, attracting investment and creating jobs to grow Algoma-Manitoulin forward.
A community-oriented person, Jib was the President of the Little Current Business Improvement Area and a former Director of the North Channel Marine Tourism Council. Jib currently is a Board member with the Elliot Lake and District Chamber of Commerce, and has served as a Municipal Councilor for seven years.
Jib and his wife Debby, have two daughters, two Grandsons and two cats and dogs. They live in Little Current.
